MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- A brazen attempted robbery on Wednesday ended in shots being fired in East Memphis. Now, Memphis Police are looking for those responsible. According to investigators, two unknown teenagers robbed a man and a woman at gunpoint. Video of the incident showed a tussle between one of the victims and one of the suspects before the suspect began firing. In the video, the two suspects can be seen getting into a white Toyota 4Runner driven by a third suspect. Memphis Police said the vehicle was stolen earlier that day and has been since recovered. Just hours after that attack, Memphis Police said the same suspects attempted another armed robbery, just down the street. MPD: Man robs woman for her french bulldog While speaking with WREG, a police officer urged citizens not to resist during robberies and emphasized the importance of prioritizing life over material possessions. "If you’re in a situation like that, someone already has you in a vulnerable situation don’t risk your life for inanimate objects," the officer said. "Be a good witness. Be able to give good descriptions of the suspect and the vehicle. Things that will help investigators locate suspects in crimes like this." MPD is seeking information about this incident.
