CLEVELAND (WJW) -- Cleveland’s Own Bone Thugs-N-Harmony has came home this weekend to mark a monumental milestone; 30 years of shaping the hip-hop landscape. The iconic group will celebrate their anniversary with a sold-out show at the House of Blues Cleveland, but for Anthony “Krayzie Bone” Henderson, this weekend is about more than music. Always,” Krayzie Bone shared. Before the lights and music of the concert, Krayzie Bone took a moment to give back to his community in partnership with the Cleveland Public Library. He spent time at Roosevelt Elementary, reading to young students, handing out books, and inspiring the next generation with a powerful message: Dreams start here. “This is really where it all started. This is where I met my group members, right behind you—me and Layzie Bone met in home economics,” Krayzie Bone said while reflecting on his journey. The location of this visit was no coincidence. Roosevelt Elementary holds a special place in Bone Thugs-N-Harmony’s history, as it’s where the members first met and formed the bond that would transform them into one of the most influential groups in hip-hop music history. Through his Spread the Love Foundation, Krayzie Bone continues to invest in Cleveland’s youth, offering pathways into urban arts and entertainment. He emphasizes that giving back doesn’t always have to involve money—it can simply be about time and presence. Why is Old Navy called ‘Old Navy’? “I think it’s important for anyone with a platform to come back and give back. Sometimes all we have to do is give back time,” he explained. The foundation is a testament to the group’s commitment to ensuring that future generations know success can be achieved right in their own backyard. Three decades ago, a group of kids from Cleveland forged a bond at Roosevelt Elementary. That bond grew into Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, a group that went on to revolutionize hip-hop with their unique style and unforgettable harmonies. Today, they remain loyal to the city that raised them. “This city has been loyal to us. They’ve always stood behind us. Every time we come back, it’s nothing but love,” Krayzie Bone said.
