ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – Rochester Animal Services in Rochester announced this week that adult dog adoption fees will be half off on December 28. The adoption fee will be $25 instead of $50. Adoptable pets can be visited at the Rochester Animal Services Center on 184 Verona Street from Monday through Sunday from noon until 3:30 p.m. Those who are looking to adopt a pet are urged to bring a leash and collar for their new dog. The center will be closed on December 25. “What better way to honor the season than by giving your love to a shelter dog,” Rochester Animal Services Director Staci Papadoplos said. “Rochester Animal Services continues to see its dog population at the top of its capacity, and we need as many people as possible to consider these animals as their first option for pet adoption.
