RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Police have arrested 23-year-old Aaron James Webb in connection to a series of vandalism incidents that targeted businesses in Henrico County just before Thanksgiving. "It sounded like the crackling of a fireplace, and you look left and right, and it’s the glass slowly breaking,” said Chriss Mann, owner of Black Iris Social Club on West Broad Street in Richmond. Black Iris is one of the stores that was vandalized. According to Henrico County police, Webb faces 10 felony vandalism charges and 11 misdemeanor vandalism-related charges for the destruction caused overnight on Nov. 15-16. Richmond police said they are also preparing charges for Webb’s connection to related vandalism incidents in the city. Webb is from Prince George County and has been accused of shooting out windows with a BB gun at multiple locations, including businesses on West Broad Street in Henrico and Richmond. Now that Webb has been caught, business owners are reflecting. “I lost 3 out of my 4 windows, so I had to be boarded up right before the holiday," said Verdalina owner Deborah Boschen. "It was several thousand dollars." While she was able to fix her windows within the past month, many businesses are still dealing with the aftermath. In addition to Henrico and Richmond, Webb is also being investigated for vandalism in Colonial Heights and Prince George County. The charges related to these incidents are pending, and VCU Police are also involved in the investigation, as Webb is believed to be connected to vandalism that involved vehicles. As of now, Webb is in custody, and further updates will be provided as law enforcement agencies continue to piece together the full breakdown of his vandalism.
