These individuals have been struggling financially but are making efforts to improve their situations. Hawaii Party City stores to remain open despite national closures Greg Waibel, president and CEO of the YMCA of Honolulu, emphasized the importance of the initiative, stating, "This is a place where people come for stability and hope. They can feel seen, valued, and supported, which is why today’s announcement is so important." The Central YMCA, located on Atkinson Drive, has been serving the community since 1911.
