One of the production companies behind the creation of the documentary is Omaha Productions, founded by fellow Broncos legend Peyton Manning.
Elway first caught the eye of the Broncos franchise during his successful football career at Stanford. His second-place finish in the 1982 Heisman Trophy race is a testament to his football ability and upped his stock in the year before he was drafted into the NFL.
In what would be the start of a beautiful relationship, the Broncos took Elway with the No. 1 overall pick in the 1983 NFL Draft.
Elway repaid their faith and spent all 16 of his years in the NFL playing for the Broncos.
During those 16 years, Elway was selected as a Pro Bowler nine times, won two Super Bowls and took home one league MVP. The last of his championship titles came in his final season, as the Broncos hero left the game on a high note, leading the team to victory in Super Bowl XXXIII against the Atlanta Falcons.
After that game, Elway found himself with the 12th-most passing yards in NFL history at 51,475 passing yards. He also became one of 14 quarterbacks to throw for 300 touchdown passes in NFL history as well.
After retiring from his playing career, Elway decided his time in Denver was not up yet. He became the general manager for the franchise from 2011 to 2020. During his tenure in the position, the Broncos won their third Super Bowl in 2015.
There has been no known release date reported for "ELWAY," according to Bleacher Report.
