From Storm Team 5... After what was a winter wonderland yesterday across northeast Wisconsin, its been a nice day to shovel out the 4-8" of snow that blanketed the area yesterday, with highs around average and plenty of sunshine. We are positioned on the front side of high pressure that has been driving in a north wind all day. As we lose the sunlight, temperatures will fall quickly, into the single digits for most, with teens along the bay and lakeshore. It will feel like below zero with winds out of north around 5-10mph, so bundle up if you are out early tomorrow morning. Saturday will feature mostly sunny skies for most, but this north wind will produce a few lake effect clouds along the lakeshore. Highs will only manage the teens to low 20s. Clear skies begin Saturday night, before clouds fill in overnight, a sign that a warm up is upcoming. However, we'll have to get by one more cold night in the single digits, but wind chills wont be much different with calm winds. Mostly cloudy for Sunday with highs around 30 degrees. Our next weather maker will approach from the west, bringing some isolated snow showers up north late evening. Rain and snow mix Monday morning, mainly north of HWY 10, but will clear early afternoon, well before the Packers game. Snow accumulations will be mainly up along the WI/U.P. border and far northern Door County. Christmas Eve and Day look dry, temperatures in the mid 30s and mostly cloudy, We should hold a 1-3in snow pack, so a White Christmas is likely. 40s for highs arrive Thursday!
