(ABC News) — The Social Security full retirement age is increasing in 2025. It’s going up by two months.
It will be 66 years and 10 months for people born in 1959. The FRA or the full retirement age used to be 65 but each year, social security benefits are adjusted to account for inflation so beneficiaries’ purchasing power doesn’t erode over time.
