WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) -- Goodwill Industries opened its newest store in Wichita on Thursday morning. The organization bought the old DAV store at Central and Edgemoor, renovated it, and turned it into a Goodwill thrift store.
After a ribbon cutting to mark the occasion, shoppers streamed into the store, looking for good deals. With Christmas just days away, Goodwill could be a great place to donate unused items or find a gift to cross your list.

"We have a lot of items that actually come to us with tags on, so sometimes you can find a brand new item," Laura Ritterbush, Goodwill Industries of Kansas President and CEO, said. "There's many items that are gently used, and a lot of people are concerned about the sustainability and keeping things out of the landfill, so it's another great opportunity."

If you want to donate items to the Central and Edgemoor Goodwill, there is a large sign pointing the way. A Goodwill worker will come out and help you take your items inside.
