NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – A place for owners to unwind with a drink while their pups play off-leash in a secure space recently opened in North Charleston. The Broken Leash, an innovative dog park and bar, held a grand opening on Dec. 13 at 8811 Old University Boulevard. The spot offers two separate pens, one for smaller dogs and one for larger dogs, that contain agility equipment while pet owners can grab a local craft brew, frose or champagne cocktail while mingling with fellow pet lovers. Rufferrees are also nearby to guide dogs and keep the park safe for everyone. All visiting pet owners are required to provide up-to-date vaccination records, including Rabies, Parvo, and Bordetella vaccinations upon entry. All adult guests must be 21 years or older.
