SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- Authorities are investigating the circumstances regarding an unidentified man found deceased in the traffic lanes of an Interstate 805 off-ramp in San Diego Tuesday night. California Highway Patrol received a report around 9:03 p.m. Tuesday regarding an unidentified adult male pedestrian in the traffic lanes of the northbound I-805/Kearny Villa Road off-ramp. Public’s help sought in identifying Clairemont vehicle burglary suspect After CHP personnel arrived at the scene, they discovered the man had been struck by a vehicle and died from his injuries. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene of the crash and has not yet been found, CHP said. The cause and sequence of events leading up to the crash are still being investigated. The man's name is being withheld pending family notification by the San Diego County Medical Examiner's office.
