IT firm Nexigen Communications is expanding its presence in Northern Kentucky with an investment in an artificial intelligence research lab. The company is growing its already-established presence in Newport. It’s known for cybersecurity and online cloud storage. Nexigen says they want to use the lab as a “national resource” for other companies interested in the technology. The firm is investing $4.35 million into the expansion. It’s expected to bring 75 jobs to the Northern Kentucky area, roughly doubling their current employment.
