(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Fillmore Street bridge project east of I-25 between Tremont Street and Sinton Road is set to be completed by Friday, Dec. 20.
The Fillmore Street bridge maintenance project included repairs to the bridge deck, waterproofing, and an asphalt overlay. The City of Colorado Springs said the project took eight months to complete.
The city is planning a longer-term project to replace the bridges eventually. While the bridges are safe for travel and regularly inspected, they are near the end of their service. The City said the project is identified as a Pikes Peak Rural Transportation Authority (PPRTA) A-list project. More information can be found on the City's website.
