Williston man arrested for sex crimes in Alaska

WILLISTON, ND (KXNET) — After a multi-state investigation, a Williston man is now under arrest, facing several Sexual Abuse of a Minor charges.
The Williston Police Department says that back in September, an Alaska State Trooper got a report of alleged sexual abuse of a minor, in the Mat-Su Valley, north of Anchorage.
The Child Abuse Investigation Unit began investigating, and Alaska troopers determined that 56-year-old Leonard Acker, of Williston, had allegedly sexually abused multiple juveniles while he lived in Alaska.
On December 12th, Acker was charged with 23 counts of Sexual Abuse and an arrest warrant was issued.Just this past Tuesday, with the help of the WPD and sheriff's office, an Alaska State Trooper investigator flew to North Dakota and arrested Acker, without any trouble.
Authorities believe there may be additional victims in Alaska and Williston.
