BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD)— The Vintage, a popular restaurant and cafe with locations in Baton Rouge, New Orleans and Mississippi, is launching a new signature coffee line featuring Louisiana artist Terrance Osborne.
"He did a wonderful feature for us, 'The Spirit of NOLA'... 'The Spirit of New Orleans' that tells the stories of resilience and people in the area," said Bernard Stolberg with OnePack Hospitality Groups.
The Vintage has special hand-selected green coffee beans in the new "Signature Artist Series."
"All of our coffee is micro-roasted so we do it in six-pound batches. Very much from a much more sustainable and greener approach. We also wanted to make sure when we select our coffee we're telling the story of the farmers and being more traceable and more transparent in creating those little groups where you can get a living wage," said Stolberg.
The packaging of the "NOLA Blend Full-City Roast" has unreleased artwork designed by Osborne. The line also features blends like "The Vintage Gold Blend" and "The Vintage Espresso."
Stolberg said their goal was to merge Louisiana food, culture and artwork.
"It's a fascinating story with the water which is all over Louisiana. It talks about the danger and also at the same time we sustain life from that water too," Stolberg said as he described the packaging design.
The Signature Artist Series is available at The Vintage at 333 Laurel St. in downtown Baton Rouge.
