RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A man is fighting for his life in the hospital after he was shot in the chest in Richmond's East End Tuesday evening. At 5:25 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 17, officers with the Richmond Police Department responded to the 2100 block of Newbourne Street for the report of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound to the chest. Police said he was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
