North Dakota Health and Human Services looking for input on new Medicaid strategy
Dec 17, 2024
MINOT, ND (KXNET) — North Dakota Health and Human Services (NDHHS) is looking for your input on a draft of next year's Medicaid Quality Strategy plan.
The three-year plan provides a summary of how to best monitor and improve the quality of care provided by the state's Medicaid programs. The strategy is a requirement by the state, as North Dakota utilizes a management care organization to administer benefits.
Sarah Aker, the Executive Director of medical services for the department, says the strategy is a way to help improve the lives of people, while being transparent.

"Quality strategy really helps us be strategic and intentional about the work that we're doing," Aker said. "That's really our goal is to be intentional in our collaboration, our partnerships, and the initiatives that we're pursuing as a state."
NDHHS staff are taking written comments until December 30th.
