(KRON) – San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins gave a press conference after the jury found Nima Momeni guilty of second-degree murder in the killing of Cash App founder Bob Lee.
Jenkins said she believes the verdict “established what truly happened.”
The DA addressed Elon Musk’s comments in the immediate aftermath of Lee’s killing regarding San Francisco being an unsafe city. Jenkins said Musk attempted to "shame" the city. Jenkins alluded to the verdict proving the city’s commitment to “accountability” and “safety.”

Jenkins opened her questioning by expressing gratitude towards prosecutors, Omid Talai and Dave Ryan. She said the verdict is a “testament to the hard work they put in.” She also thanked San Francisco Police Department Sergeant Brent Dittmer.
“We are a city committed to public safety, and that when something bad happens, which we can't always control, that law enforcement at every level will respond to make sure that there is justice and accountability in each and every situation,” said Jenkins. “We just want to thank this family that put their trust in us, the communities across San Francisco, that put our trust in law enforcement, local police and my office to make sure that we have accountability in this case.”
