TIVERTON, R.I. (WLNE) — Tiverton Police said two teenagers were taken to the hospital for evaluation after a single car accident on Dec. 16.
At 6:40 p.m., police were sent to King Road for a report of a single motor vehicle accident.
At the scene, police saw the 16-year-old male driver and 15-year-old female passenger standing outside the car, which had “significant damages.”
The driver told police he was traveling behind another vehicle, which slowed down due to a deer in the road.
He swerved around the vehicle to prevent a collision, and veered off the road into a utility pole.
First responders transported the individuals to Charlton Memorial Hospital for evaluation.
