Two indicted for murder and child abuse in death of 3monthold Greyson Torres

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Two people are facing charges of murder (domestic violence) and criminal abuse 1st degree (child 12 and under) in connection to the death of a 3-month-old baby.
According to officials, Amancio Torres-Trevino Jr., 20, and Kaela Breann Walker, 20, were indicted on November 25th, following the death of Greyson Torres.
The case began on September 29, when officers responded to a local hospital around for a report of an assault involving a 3-month-old child. Detectives with the Special Victims Section determined the assault occurred at a residence in the 2000 block of Alumni Drive.
On October 2, Greyson Torres passed away from his injuries, with the Fayette County Coroner’s Office officially identifying the infant.
Torres-Trevino Jr. and Walker were initially charged with criminal abuse 1st degree. Following Greyson’s death, those charges were upgraded to murder (domestic violence) and criminal abuse 1st degree (child 12 and under).
This remains an ongoing investigation.
