The complaint states that Schabusiness intentionally caused harm to a prison employee on or around Wednesday, July 24.
The report from a Fond du Lac police officer says that they were sent to the Taycheedah Correctional Institution for a complaint of battery around 7:43 p.m. on July 24. The report mentioned that the suspect, Schabusiness, allegedly attacked a sergeant in prison.
The victim told the reporting officer that they went to the hospital as a result of the incident. The incident was reportedly recorded with a body camera.
Schabusiness reportedly asked for care because of a staple that was in her arm, and a nurse was brought down to her cell to assess it. The nurse had to take Schabusiness to the medical room.
The criminal complaint says that Schabusiness "lunged at the nurse" as they were trying to remove the staple. The victim said that she helped the nurse exit the room, while Schabusiness allegedly hit the victim in the head with a metal table tray.
Schabusiness was pepper sprayed by the victim, who was also exposed to the spray.
According to the criminal complaint, Schabusiness spoke to the reporting officer, alleging that she jumped and hit the nurse because the staple removal caused her pain, but she did not remember anything afterward.
