ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — An Albion man was arrested earlier this month for allegedly raping a child, as police are concerned that there may be more victims. 30-year-old John D. Smith, Jr. was accused of raping a child younger than 11 years old. He was arrested and charged with first-degree rape and endangering the welfare of a child. The Albion Police Department said they wanted to get Smith's identity out to the public due to concerns there may be more victims. Anyone whose child may have come in contact with Smith is urged to contact their local authorities. Smith was taken to the Orleans County Jail and is being held on bail.
