Dec 17, 2024
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Albuquerque Bernalillo County Library system is making the use of its services easier than ever before with the launch of its new mobile app. Through the app, community members can search the catalog; place, edit, or cancel holds; view and renew check-out items; access their digital library card and reset their PIN; find nearby library branches; and more.
“We understand our patrons lead busy lives,” said Kelli Murphy, acting library director. “We’re thrilled to offer an app that allows them to search, hold, and renew materials whenever it’s most convenient for them.” The "Public Library ABQ-BernCo" app is available for download on both iOS and Android devices in the App Store and Google Play. “We all use our phones now for nearly everything, so we’re modernizing to create seamless access to library resources anytime, anywhere,” said Mayor Tim Keller. “This innovation makes things easier for everyone and strengthens the connection between the library and the families and institutions who depend on it.”
