Jacksonville Jaguars react to 3225 loss to New York Jets
Dec 15, 2024
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (WSAV) — The Jacksonville Jaguars fell in a tough battle with the New York Jets, 32-25, on Dec. 15 at Everbank Stadium.
The Jaguars failed to build off last week's 10-6 win against the Titans. A win Sunday would have marked the teams first achieved back-to-back wins in over a year.
After struggling offensively throughout the season, Jacksonville was able to move the ball well against the New York's defense.
Quarterback Mac Jones, starting in place of the injured Trevor Lawrence, went 31-for-46 with 294 passing yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. Rookie star wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. caught 10 passes for 105 yards and two touchdowns.
Thomas also broke both the Jaguars' all-time rookie total receiving yards (851) and receiving touchdowns (6) during the contest.
Jacksonville's next matchup will be on the road against the Las Vegas Raiders Sunday, Dec. 22 at 4:25 p.m.
