Man fatally shot in South Shore

A man was killed in a shooting in South Shore on Sunday night, Chicago police said.The man, who was shot in the face and chest, was found in a third-floor apartment in the 7800 block of South Bennett Avenue at 9:01 p.m., police said. The 42-year-old was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition. He later died. No one is in custody.
