INDIANAPOLIS — Bill Skarsgård of "Nosferatu" and "It" fame, and Dacre Montgomery of "Stranger Things" and "Elvis" fame, will star in a new film directed by Gus Van Sant, who is known for creating films like "Good Will Hunting" and "Elephant." The upcoming film, "Dead Man's Wire" is centered around Indianapolis criminal Tony Kiritsis, Deadline reported on Thursday. According to reports, the film is going to be a hostage thriller based on the true story of Tony Kiritsis, a former real estate developer in Indianapolis. In 1977, Kiritsis had fallen behind in paying for a piece of real estate. His mortgage broker, Richard O. Hall, did not provide Kiritsis with additional time to pay, which reportedly led him to believe that Hall and his father wanted the property for their own. Per Hall, the property could have been sold at a high profit. Then, on Feb. 8, 1977, Kiritsis entered Hall's office and wired a 12-gauge shotgun to the back of Hall's head. Kiritsis had set this wire up in such a way that if a police officer had shot him, the shotgun would also fire at Hall. After Kiritsis was arrested and booked into jail, he was found not guilty by reason of insanity, reports indicate. Montgomery and Skarsgård's roles were not revealed as of this article's publication.
