(EL PASO COUNTY, Colo.) — A former deputy with the El Paso County Sheriff's Office (EPSO) was arrested in Harris County, Texas on a charge of Human Trafficking for Involuntary Servitude. According to EPSO, 63-year-old Ivan Sundheim was employed with the Sheriff's Office from March 1993 until his retirement in April 2013. In May 2024, EPSO received an allegation of Human Trafficking about Sundheim during his employment with EPSO. Following an investigation, an arrest warrant was issued for Sundheim on Thursday, Dec. 12 and he was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail in Texas. EPSO said this is an active investigation and will not provide further comment.
