SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - It was a night to honor the work of creative leaders in the city of Springfield.   Massachusetts State Police conducting sobriety checkpoint in Hampden County The Springfield Creative City Collective (SCCC) held its annual meeting Thursday night at the 650 penthouse in Tower Square. Those attending celebrated their achievements this past year including advocating for the Downtown Vitality Act. It's a Massachusetts bill that aims to support the strength of downtowns and main streets. Their goal is to continue to help the city thrive through sustainable and cultural initiatives. “I'm originally a grassroots organizer and a lot of people here started from nothing, to successfully bring so many impactful people together on a normal basis is newer for our city and so I'm so proud of the social infrastructure we've been able to build,” said Tiffany Allecia, the Executive Director of the Springfield Creative City Collective. The SCCC also gave out $50,000 in grants this year to artists, entrepreneurs, and businesses in the city.
