EPC Clerk no longer allows pet paw prints on marriage licenses
Dec 13, 2024
(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The El Paso County Clerk and Recorder's Office will no longer allow pet prints on marriage licenses.
The EPC Clerk and Recorder's Office announced via X (formerly known as Twitter) that they will no longer allow pet paw prints in the witness section of marriage licenses, as it creates issues with the office's copy and scanning machines.
"We hope you can find another way to incorporate your fur babies on your special day!" wrote EPC Clerk and Recorder on X.
Colorado is one of the 23 states that doesn't require any witnesses for required ceremonies, just a signed license by either a human or an animal.
