First, AI is coming after our jobs...now, synthetic ice is replacing good ol’ frozen water?! My worries about tech taking over everything aside, OMSI’s science-y rink does sound cutting edge—the synthetic ice technology is described as “self-lubricating” (I waggle my eyebrows as I write) but also promises an “optimal grip and glide ratio,” which seems like a good setup for beginners.  OMSI, Central Eastside (Through Jan 1, 2025)
