(FOX40.COM) -- Tahoe's professional hockey team the Knight Monsters announced on Wednesday that Chip and Joanna Gaines of the popular HGTV 'Fixer Upper' show have joined the teams ownership group. The team co-owned by former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow was first unveiled to public in November 2023. It is obvious they share our passion for giving back to the community and have a love of sports. We are blessed with an amazing group of partners, and Chip and Jo will certainly enhance this group,” said Tebow. “For us, this partnership is a chance to celebrate the joy of the game and be part of something that inspires people to cheer loud and make memories that last a lifetime,” the Gaines said. The Knight Monsters compete in the ECHL in the leagues Mountain Division and host games at the Tahoe Blue Event Center in Stateline, Nevada. The team began their inaugural season on Oct. 24 and currently have a 12-6-1-1 record, ranking second in the Mountain Division and fourth in the Western Conference.
