(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Laura Voepel, the alleged Club Q shooter's mother, appeared in court on Tuesday, Dec. 10 due to two misdemeanor charges she was facing. The charges were filed on Nov. 20, 2022, and Voepel was facing both disorderly conduct - unreasonable noise and resisting arrest charges. In May 2023, Voepel had pleaded not guilty to both and in June she filed a motion for competency evaluation, according to court documents. Later that same month, a mental health stay was ordered by the court. On Dec. 2, a motion was filed to dismiss and on Tuesday, Dec. 10, Voepel's misdemeanors were dismissed by the court. According to court documents, in addition to the charges dismissal, her mandatory injunctive protective order was vacated and her mental health stay was lifted.
