FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — Fall River police have identified the suspect who allegedly tried to evade law enforcement by hiding in a chimney.
33-year-old Robert Langlias was arrested and charged for possession.
Last night, Detectives of the Community Action & Suppression Team (CAST) executed a search warrant for a residence at 127 Canal Street.
During the execution of the search warrant, two males fled from the residence via rooftop.
Police said one male eluded capture by bounding from the roof and onto a parked vehicle.
The other male, later identified by officials as Langlias, attempted to hide inside of a chimney.
Langlias became stuck and was required to be rescued by officials.
He was transported to a local hospital out of precaution, then taken into custody.
He was arrested for possession of class A drugs, possession of class B drugs, and a list of other charges from outstanding warrants.
Also present and arrested, according to police, “with less theatrics,” was 32-year-old Tanisha Ibay for possession of class A and B drugs.
