General Motors is scrapping its efforts to develop a fleet of driverless taxis.   GM will instead focus on driver-assistance features that require a driver to be ready to take control of the car.   The automaker said it will no longer fund the billions of dollars needed for development work of the cruise robo-taxi.   It cites the great amount of time and resources needed to grow that business and increasing competition in the market.
