Man arrested in September St. Tammany Parish fatal crash

ST. TAMMANY PARISH, La. (WGNO) — A man has been arrested after a pedestrian was hit and killed by a truck in the Money Hill subdivision on Monday, Sept. 16.
According to the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office, the initial investigation showed that 74-year-old Ralph Reimer was jogging on Money Hill Parkway when he was hit by a Chevrolet Silverado.

After deputies arrived on scene, Reimer was brought to a hospital, where he died.
Almost three months later, on Wednesday, Dec. 11, 34-year-old Barron Tyler, of Covington, was arrested in connection with the crash and booked into the St. Tammany Parish Correctional Center on one count of negligent homicide.
