Central Ohio Weather and Radar A band of light snow developed behind a cold front pushing east across the Appalachians. Temperatures will hold steady, just above freezing, so light snow will melt on road surfaces. A wave of low pressure moving up the Eastern Seaboard will cause winds to increase from the northwest to between 15 and 30 mph and remain gusty overnight, driving the wind chill into the single digits to near zero. Arctic air will arrive overnight, accompanied by additional snow showers and gusty winds, with morning readings falling into the teens. Skies will partially clear Thursday, but afternoon temperatures will only reach the mid-20s, and winds will remain blustery. Dry and chilly weather, with gradual moderation, will prevail heading into the weekend, as high pressure builds in from the west. Rain returns Saturday evening, as low pressure develops over the southern Plains and tracks across the Midwest to the Great Lakes on Sunday. Weekend temperatures will be mild, reaching the mid- to upper 40s. Showers will taper off Sunday afternoon to drizzle. Dry weather returns briefly on Monday, before a cold front brings more showers Monday night and Tuesday. Forecast Wednesday: Cloudy, blustery, cold, flurry. High 33 Tonight: Windy, snow showers early. Low 18 Thursday: Partly sunny, very cold. High 26 Friday: Partly cloudy. High 38 (21) Saturday: Cloudy, rain p.m. High 45 (29) Sunday: Showers taper, cloudy, mild. High 49 (39) Monday: Mostly cloudy, showers later. High 53 (40) Tuesday: Partly sunny, cooler. High 45 (37)
