Weather factor in deadly I95 crash in Stafford County, Virginia State Police says

STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) -- Virginia State Police (VSP) said weather contributed to a crash on Interstate 95 on Thanksgiving Day that killed one driver and injured another.
Troopers said the wreck happened shortly before 7:15 a.m.
Bezawit B. Yigzaw, 30, of Woodbridge, Va. was heading south when she lost control of her car. It ran off the road and hit a guardrail. Several minutes later, the 47-year-old driver of another car similarly lost control and ran off the roadway. His car hit Yigzaw's, leaving her with critical injuries.

Medics took Yigzaw to Mary Washington Hospital where she later died. Troopers did not know if she was wearing a seat belt at the time of the initial crash. She was not wearing a seat belt when the second car hit hers.
The man driving the second car, who is from Ruther Glen, Va., had serious injuries. Medics took him to Mary Washington Hospital for treatment.
VSP said charges were pending.
