ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – The Rochester Rotary Club honored longtime community leader and WXXI President Norm Silverstein, who recently announced his retirement. Friends, family, and coworkers were also in attendance today celebrating Silverstein's near 30-years of leadership with the company. During that time, WXXI has seen massive growth. It now runs 4 public TV stations, a cable channel and 6 public radio stations. The media organization also operates the Little Theater and CITY Magazine. Silverstein says this isn't the end of the road for him. He plans to remain involved in the local media and the Rochester community as a whole.
