“Our top priority has been and always will be reaching as many fans as possible,” Royals Chairman and CEO John Sherman said.
“We want to be available to anyone who wants to watch our exciting team as the ownership group continues to invest in the progress we’re making on the field.”
The recently renamed FanDuel Sports Network Kansas City will continue giving fans live games via cable and satellite, as well as a streaming package, straight through the network.
In 2024, the Royals' linear viewership increased by over 30% and their streaming audience increased by more than 200%, according to a news release.
“This past season reinforced what we’ve always known about the passion of our fans and how much they enjoy watching our great athletes perform,” Royals President of Business Operations Brooks Sherman said.
“Our viewership grew toward the top of all of baseball, and we’re excited to continue to position ourselves for the future.”
