3 juveniles connected to May aggravated assault shooting arrested by IMPD

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department has arrested three juveniles who are connected to an aggravated assault shooting that happened in May.
According to a Facebook post from IMPD, on May 22, officers were called to the 3000 block of East 10th Street on a report of shots fired. Upon arrival at the scene, they found a juvenile male suffering from injuries consistent with gunshot wounds.
Previous reporting indicates the boy was transported from the scene to a local hospital in critical condition.
IMPD reported that a juvenile female was also located at the scene of the shooting. She told officers she had been robbed but not injured.
Police ultimately determined the shooting and robbery were related. In an investigation, detectives found that the shooting stemmed from a botched robbery.
The connection detectives made helped IMPD identify the suspects and subsequently execute several felony arrests warrants.
On Monday, police located and arrested three juveniles at separate locations. Police did not name the juveniles in their release, though they did denote the locations they were arrested at and the preliminary charges they face.
Juvenile 1, located in the 3500 block of Baltimore Avenue:
Armed robbery (Level 3 Felony)
Dangerous possession of a firearm (Misdemeanor)
Juvenile 2, located in the 5300 block of Southern Avenue:
Two counts of armed robbery (Level 2 and Level 3 Felonies, respectively)
Aggravated battery (Level 3 Felony)
Criminal recklessness (Level 5 Felony)
Dangerous possession of a firearm (Misdemeanor)
Juvenile 3, located in the 2500 block of W. Washington Street:
Two counts of armed robbery (Level 2 and Level 3 Felonies, respectively)
Aggravated battery (Level 3 Felony)
Obstruction of justice (Level 6 Felony)
