Plaid Friday, an alternative to Black Friday in Alexandria ACPD is advising people who are heading out to take advantage of the deals to: Park in an area that is well-lit and also has high traffic. Avoid carrying large amounts of money. Don't leave your purse or wallet unattended. Be aware of your surroundings. Avoid having too many shopping bags. Hide purchases in the trunk of your car.
