(LA JUNTA, Colo.) — The Colorado State Patrol (CSP), will once again hold its Pack the Patrol Car toy drive on two Sundays in December in La Junta. According to CSP, this marks the 12th year of the Pack the Patrol Car toy drive, with the toys being donated to local schools. The toy drive will take place on the first and second Sunday of December, Dec. 1 and Dec. 8, from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. at the La Junta Walmart. Look for the banner and the patrol cars with lights flashing. "This is the perfect time of year to help others in our own community," said CSP. "Each one of us can make a difference and help bring some joy to families this Christmas season." If you are unable to donate at the designated dates and times but still wish to participate, you can contact the La Junta State Patrol office at (719) 384-8981 or the Lamar office at (719) 336-7403. Monetary donations are also appreciated, CSP said.
