Suspect linked to string of armed robberies arrested in Ohio after chase

HICKSVILLE, Ohio (WANE)— Hicksville, Ohio police took a suspect into custody early Thursday morning after an armed robbery turned into a vehicle pursuit.
The Hicksville Police Department responded to an armed robbery around 3 a.m at a Phil's One Stop near the center of town. The clerk was held at gunpoint, police said.
According to Hicksville police, the suspect, later identified as Octavious J.H. Roberson, 24, of Fort Wayne, led officers on a 3-mile chase before crashing his vehicle. Roberson then lost control and the vehicle he was driving rolled over multiple times before he was thrown from it.
Roberson was booked into the Allen County Jail after being treated at a Fort Wayne Hospital. He is currently charged with aggravated robbery and is awaiting extradition back to Ohio. Other charges are pending.

The Huntington County, Ind. Sheriff's Department said in a press release that evidence supports that Roberson is linked to a number of robberies across Indiana and Ohio, including an armed robbery that happened at a CITGO gas station in Andrews, Ind. on Nov. 7. Roberson was also believed to be involved in an armed robbery at a gas station in Liberty Center, Wells County, Ind. on Nov. 12.
This investigation is still ongoing.
