Belchertown police seek public's help in identifying shoplifting suspects

BELCHERTOWN, Mass. (WWLP) - The Belchertown Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in identifying two individuals suspected of shoplifting over $300 worth of merchandise from a local Stop & Shop.
The incident occurred on Sunday, November 24, around 7:30 p.m. Authorities have released photos of the individuals, urging anyone who recognized them or has information about the incident to contact Officer Rivera at [email protected] or call 413-323-6685 ext. 288.

According to police, this is part of a growing number of shoplifting incidents at the Belchertown Stop & Shop in recent weeks. The store has reported multiple thefts in the last two weeks, according to police. While all previously identified suspects have been charged, the department continues to investigate this latest case.
Stop & Shop has assured the public that its security camera system is fully operational and records activities throughout the store. The store is actively collaborating with law enforcement to address and report such incidents.
