PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — Demolition of McCoy Stadium is expected early next year, according to officials working with Pawtucket School Committee members to build a new high school. During a School Committee meeting back on November 12, members gave the okay to submit an “early release package” for the demolition of the stadium. School officials, who now have control of McCoy as plans for a new unified Pawtucket High School continue to develop, will submit the package to to the Rhode Island Department of Education School Building Authority. Colliers Project Leaders, the engineering firm involved, said they’re expecting demolition of the stadium to take place in March of 2025. Mobilization of the stadium is projected to begin in February. Categories: News
