Santa Fe police identify, arrest two shooting suspects

SANTA FE, N.M. (KRQE) – Santa Fe Police arrested two men accused of shooting a 48-year-old man near the 3200 block of Cerrillos Rd. on Tuesday, November 26.

Officials say officers responded around 2:40 a.m. to the Presbyterian Hospital on Beckner Rd. to reports of a shootings. Officers arrived and determined the shooting happened near the 3200 block of Cerillos Rd., and witnesses in the area reported hearing gunshots. The victim sustained at least one gunshot wound and was admitted to the hospital in stable condition.
Police say the suspects were reportedly wearing face coverings, ballistic-type vests and had assault-style rifles. Through an investigation, detectives identified 21-year-old Jair Rascon-Chavez and 22-year-old Luis Adrian Garcia as suspects. Both suspects were taken into custody and face multiple charges.
