ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Police arrested a man in connection to a shooting on Joseph Avenue in September. On September 20, a 36-year-old man arrived at Strong Memorial Hospital with multiple gunshot wounds. Investigators said he was shot inside a car in a parking lot on Joseph Avenue. A dispute took place outside and shots were fired, with many of them hitting the victim's car. Investigators from the Non-Fatal Shooting Unit arrested 33-year-old Brian Alston at his home on Hinchey Road in Gates. It was alleged Alston had a weapon and fired it during the incident. It's unknown if he was the one who shot the victim. Alston was charged with second-and-third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and prohibited use of a weapon. He was taken to the Monroe County Jail.
