VISALIA, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - Pets across the Central Valley have been asking for a loving home this holiday season - and now, they could get one. Chewy officials announced Tuesday their partnership with the Best Friends Animal Society to provide free adoptions during Thanksgiving weekend, beginning Nov. 29 through Dec. 1. Officials say one of these shelters includes the Visalia Animal Care Center. The initiative was created to support the overcrowding that exists within some animal shelters nationwide, according to Chewy. The Visalia Animal Care Center is located at 29016 Highway 99 in Visalia and is open Tuesday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. until noon.
