SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — Savannah State University won in both men's and women's basketball against University of South Carolina-Beaufort Tuesday night. On the men's side, Savannah State controlled the game in the last three quarters. The Tigers led at the half 40-29 and took that momentum into the second half winning 80-69. On the women's side, the Lady Tigers trailed at halftime by 11 points against the Sand Sharks but came storming back and took the lead late in the fourth quarter to secure the win 61-56. Both Savannah State teams next play on the road against Kentucky State University, the men at 4:00 p.m. and the women at 2:00 p.m.
