KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Jackson County Administrator Troy Schule will be leaving his job to join developer SomeraRoad.
The company's Caroline Stephens confirmed Schulte was joining them Tuesday, November 19th.

"Troy Schulte has come on board to help SomeraRoad grow SR Sports & Entertainment," Stephens said in an email to FOX4 that day. "SR Sports & Entertainment is a division of SomeraRoad focused on the strategic investment and development of sports entertainment districts and venues across the U.S. "
FOX4 saw Schulte inside the Jackson County Courthouse Tuesday afternoon, November 26. He would not speak to FOX4 on camera, but he told us he'd be leaving the county around the end of the year.
Even though the company's headquartered in New York, it has an office in the West Bottoms and is redeveloping that neighborhood.
Before joining Jackson County, Schulte served as Kansas City's City Manager for 10 years, and worked in various city capacities for 21 years before leaving in 2019.
While serving in Jackson County under Executive Frank White, Schulte was prominent in discussing issues with the County Legislature including the controversial property tax jumps, and the efforts to get a sales tax extension for the Chiefs and Royals, which would have led to a new downtown baseball stadium and renovations for Arrowhead Stadium.
Voters ultimately declined to pass the stadium measure, sending both teams back to the drawing board. His boss, White, was opposed to the agreement the County Legislature made with the teams.
